Ghulam Karim, a 40-year-old Stafford father, has been missing since Oct. 6, and police are asking the public for help finding him.
Karim was last seen around noon that day after dropping his children off at their home in the 10400 block of Fountain Lake Drive, the Stafford Police Department said. He told his family he was heading to work in the 3000 block of Almeda Genoa Road and was expected back around midnight.
He never came home.
When Karim did not return, his wife discovered his wallet and car keys had been left at the residence, police said. Karim later called in sick to his employer but has not returned to work or made contact with the employer since, according to the department. His whereabouts remain unknown.
As of Oct. 16, Karim has been missing for 10 days. The department's Criminal Investigations Division is handling the case.
The Stafford Police Department described Karim as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said they do not know what he was wearing at the time he disappeared.
KHOU reported on the case Oct. 15, and multiple Houston-area outlets have since covered the department's public appeal.
Detective J. Trevino is the contact investigator on the case. Anyone with information about Karim's whereabouts is urged to call Trevino at 281-261-3974.
Lt. Luciano Lopez, the department's public information officer, can also be reached for inquiries at 281-261-3991 or [email protected].
