Forest Park Missouri City Funeral Home hit its one-year mark in July, and location manager Jessica Lopez wants neighbors to know the 9,000-square-foot facility on Shipmans Cove Boulevard is more than a place for funerals.

Lopez confirmed the anniversary milestone in a Community Impact report published this week. The funeral home, which opened in early 2025 at 4217 Shipmans Cove Blvd., welcomes community gatherings, fundraisers and family reunions alongside its memorial services, according to its Dignity Memorial profile.

The building features a chapel that seats 180, a flexible reception space for catered meals, a covered outdoor area, a spacious lobby, a visitation room and private arrangement rooms. Interior finishes include warm neutrals, stained glass and stone accents.

It serves all faiths and cultures.

Beyond traditional burial planning, cremation and religious ceremonies, the facility offers event planning, video production, live music and in-home visitations. Lopez is listed as the primary contact in the Central Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce directory, and the funeral home serves neighborhoods including Quail Valley, Stafford, Sienna, Sugar Land, Lake Olympia and Riverstone.

Built by Anchor Construction, the 9,000-square-foot facility was completed in the first quarter of 2025 and features an open interior layout with a covered outdoor space designed for gatherings large and small.

Residents interested in booking the space for a non-funeral event or learning more can call 281-845-3097 or visit forestparkmissouricity.com.
