Fort Bend County crews are replacing street panels in the Glenn Lakes neighborhood of Missouri City, and the city is asking drivers to slow down through the active work zone.
The City of Missouri City posted the advisory on Friday, Aug. 7, warning residents to use caution around construction equipment, traffic signs and work crews in the area.
No end date was given.
The city did not specify which streets within Glenn Lakes are affected or when the project is expected to wrap up. Glenn Lakes is a residential neighborhood in the Quail Valley area, near Community Park at 1700 Glenn Lakes Lane.
Part of a summer-long county program
The Glenn Lakes project is the latest in a rolling Fort Bend County street-panel replacement program that has moved through multiple Missouri City neighborhoods this summer. Previous work zones included Summer Lakes starting June 18, Independence Boulevard on June 29, Autumn Lakes on July 6, Mission Valley Drive on July 13, Orkney Drive on July 22, Golden Tee Lane on July 27 and Hollowood Lane starting July 31.
In its July 31 advisory for the Hollowood Lane work, the city specifically warned drivers to watch for traffic signs, construction equipment and work crews in the area. The same hazards apply at Glenn Lakes.
