Three Fort Bend ISD programs landed players on the Touchdown Club of Houston's 2026 preseason UIL high school football team, the district announced Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Ridge Point safety/linebacker Aaron Williams, along with honorees from Elkins and Marshall, were among the 33 top returning players selected from across the Houston area, according to the Houston Chronicle. College Park, Atascocita and Shadow Creek led all programs with three selections each.

Williams brings a family pedigree to the Panthers' defense. His uncle is former University of Texas and Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson, according to the Chronicle. Ridge Point returns eight starters to a unit that allowed just 12 points per game last season and 10.2 per game in the Panthers' 11 wins.

The selection adds to a growing pile of preseason recognition for Ridge Point, which enters 2026 ranked No. 15 in Class 6A and riding a 44-game district winning streak dating to 2019. The Panthers have won 11 consecutive district championships, as we reported Aug. 7.

That depth of talent shows across the roster. Head coach Rick LaFavers told TexasFootball.com on Aug. 6, describing junior linebacker Brayden Bonik's playing style: "He is just a relentless competitor. All he sees is Red. There's no neutral in him."

Elkins, which missed the playoffs by one spot last season, returns 14 starters for 2026. Marshall enters the fall under new head coach Wale Okunnu, who replaced James Williams after Williams left to start the program at Tomball West. It marks Marshall's first coaching change since 2009.

All honorees will be recognized at the Touchdown Club's annual Touchdowner of the Year Dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Main Ballroom of the Bayou City Event Center, 9401 Knight Road, according to VYPE.

Ridge Point, Elkins, Marshall and Stafford all open regular-season play the weekend of Aug. 28. Marshall travels to Brenham for its opener on Friday, Aug. 28.
