Stafford pet owners can pick up free dog food, cat food, litter and toys Saturday, Oct. 24, when the city and the Houston Humane Society open their fourth annual pet pantry.
The giveaway runs from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Stafford Code Compliance Building, 2510 S. Main St., across the street from City Hall. No appointment is needed. Staff will hand out supplies on a first-come, first-served basis.
Items available include dry dog food, dry cat food, cat litter, and dog toys and treats, according to a news release on the city's website.
The city described the pantry as a partnership to "help those in need with free pet food and supplies." The City of Stafford also promoted the event on its verified X account.
This is the fourth year the city and the Houston-based animal welfare organization have teamed up for the drive.
