Missouri City's annual food festival is coming back with more than 30 local food and drink vendors set to take over the City Hall Complex on Saturday, Aug. 29.
Taste of Missouri City will feature local restaurants, food vendors, live entertainment and family-friendly activities at 1522 Texas Parkway. The city has been promoting the event since January, with its first Facebook announcement drawing 289 reactions, 32 comments and 21 shares from residents and food businesses eager to participate.
The 2025 edition ran from 4 to 8 p.m. on June 14 at the same venue. The city has not confirmed exact hours for the 2026 event.
Vendor spots still available
Small business owners and food vendors can still apply for booth space. The city posted vendor applications in May, calling the festival a chance for small business owners to showcase their work and connect with the community. Applications are available through the city's website.
A business called Affinutty Treats was among those expressing interest in vending when the city first announced the event on Facebook on Jan. 30. That post alone generated dozens of comments from residents asking about food and non-food vendor spots.
Restaurant Week tie-in
The festival is paired with MCTX Restaurant Week, a citywide promotion in which participating restaurants offer exclusive menus to attract new diners. The city's official event page lists separate registration forms for Restaurant Week participants and Taste of Missouri City food vendors.
No list of participating restaurants has been released for 2026.
