Missouri City families have a new school option this fall: Aristoi Classical Academy opened its fourth campus on Aug. 13 at 20417 University Blvd. in the Quail Valley area, serving kindergarten through fourth grade at no cost to families.

Seats are still available. There is no waitlist, the school said in an Aug. 18 news release, according to Community Impact.

Aristoi is a tuition-free public charter school that follows a classical education model built around grammar, logic and rhetoric. The Missouri City location joins existing campuses in Cypress and Katy. The school plans to add one grade level each year as the campus grows.

The school day runs from 7:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., with early release at 12:10 p.m.

How the school got here

Aristoi representative Jonathan Mueller and Jovia Godfrey, the school's director of development, presented to the Stafford City Council on May 20 about the organization's services and locations. At the same meeting, Dr. Kelly Edmisten, lead pastor of the Vineyard Church at 5015 Grove West Blvd., spoke about a possible partnership with the charter school, according to council minutes.

The nature of any partnership between the church and the school was not detailed in the public record.

The school was named Chron.com's Best of the Best Charter School two years running. Its comparable Katy Grammar campus, also serving grades K–4, enrolled 431 students as of the 2024 school year.

What families need to know

The new campus arrives as Fort Bend ISD navigates rezoning that could shift hundreds of students among Elkins, Amy Coleman and other schools. Aristoi operates independently of FBISD and is open to any Texas resident.

The school plans to grow one grade per year, eventually serving upper elementary students alongside its K–4 foundation.
