Home sales across Missouri City-area ZIP codes dropped 5.5% in August, with 257 homes sold compared to 272 in August 2025.
The data, compiled by CB&A Realtors and first reported by Community Impact, covers five ZIP codes in the Sugar Land and Missouri City area. Three of the five ZIP codes posted year-over-year sales gains despite the overall decline. ZIP code 77478 posted the largest increase at 23.81%.
Homes priced between $200,000 and $399,999 accounted for 111 of the 257 sales. That price band led sales in June, July and August, according to CB&A Realtors data reported by Community Impact.
The August total also marks a month-over-month decline. Sales totaled 281 in July and 292 in June.
Median sale prices fell in three of the five ZIP codes compared to August 2025. ZIP code 77459 recorded the steepest drop at 13.81%. That same ZIP code saw a 7.83% median price decline in July.
The data release did not include actual dollar figures for August median prices or identify which two other ZIP codes gained sales alongside 77478.
