Paris Baguette bakery-café is set to open at Missouri City's Colony Lakes Shopping Center in late October.

Construction was already underway when the owners announced the location on Instagram on July 24. It adds a national bakery-and-coffee brand to the corridor.

The franchise owners, who posted under the account @parisbaguette_missouricitytx but have not publicly identified themselves by name, said they plan to serve Missouri City, Sugar Land and surrounding communities including Riverstone, Sienna, Lake Olympia, Quail Valley, First Colony, Telfair, Greatwood and Colony Lakes. They also said they intend to support the area through partnerships with local schools, nonprofits and food donation programs.

Community Impact first reported the opening. The bakery's menu centers on baked goods: flavored croissants, danishes, tarts and celebration cakes such as cappuccino and blueberry chiffon varieties, according to the chain's website as cited by Community Impact. Savory options include sandwiches, quiches and croquettes.

Seasonal items listed on the website at the time of the Community Impact report included apple strudel, a pecan tart and a pumpkin cheese danish. Seasonal drinks included pumpkin chais, lattes and caramel apple matchas. Year-round, the drink menu features lattes, matchas, frappes, teas and drip coffee.

The Missouri City location is part of a broader push across the Houston area. Paris Baguette opened a Houston Heights café on May 18, according to RestaurantNews.com.

The brand operates more than 300 locations in the U.S., according to Community Impact. It has set a goal of reaching 1,000 by 2030.

Chain Store Age reported in January that the company planned to open 150 new cafés in 2026 and expand into 10 new U.S. states, Canadian provinces and territories.

The locally owned franchise will operate at 6266 Highway 6.
