Thirty-three Ridge Point High School choir students advanced to the second round of Texas All-State Choir Auditions after competing in the district-level first round the previous weekend.
More than 100 Ridge Point singers auditioned, the school announced Monday, Sept. 21. The 33 who moved on will next face the Region audition, which for Fort Bend ISD's Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 13 typically falls in October or November.
Three freshmen made the cut. Amaris Winful earned Soprano 1, 15th Chair. Dean Burki placed at Tenor 1, 14th Chair. Angelo Navarro landed Bass 2, 17th Chair.
Alila Brown posted the highest individual chair among the 33, finishing Soprano 2, 2nd Chair. Julianna Heallen and Emilia Uttrodt each earned Alto 1, 3rd Chair. Aaron Jaimon took Tenor 2, 5th Chair, and Darien Thomas placed Bass 1, 9th Chair.

The All-State process, run by TMEA, starts each fall with more than 70,000 Texas high school students statewide, according to Texas Choir Corner. Students who survive up to four rounds of auditions earn a spot in a TMEA All-State Choir and perform at the annual convention in San Antonio in February. Roughly the top 3% of all auditioners make it that far.
Head choir director Chelsea Berner, in her seventh year leading Ridge Point's choirs, oversees the program, according to the school's choir page.
The Region 13 audition date for the 2026–27 cycle has not been announced publicly.
